Perfusion
expands the dominant
role of CT in evaluation of patients with acute stroke. Despite the
capability of MR, CT remains the "gold standard" for evaluating the
presence of hemorrhage. Consequently, CT Perfusion is the logical
next step to quantifying the patient's condition. The CT Perfusion
software provides relative cerebral blood volume, relative cerebral
blood flow, mean transit time and time to peak quantitative information.

SmartPrep
bolus detection eliminates the guesswork on contrast injections. SmartPrep
precisely determines when contrast will reach peak enhancement, regardless
of cardiac output, so scanning can begin at the optimum point in time.

3D
Imaging Analysis
is a post processing technique that creates 3D models using surface
rendering and maximum intensity pixel projection modes. 3D is used
on orthopedic and maxillo-facial exams to enhance the diagnostic
utility. 3D is also a must on CT angiography to remove obstructing
structures.

3D
Navigator is a post processing technique
that adds "fly through" capability to 3D Image Analysis. 3D Navigator
is used to examine the interior walls of hollow structures such as
the sinuses, trachea, or colon. 3D Navigator does require 3D Image
Analysis.
