William G. Bradley,
MD, PhD, received his BS at the California Institute of Technology in
1970 and his PhD from Princeton in 1974, both in chemical engineering.
He was awarded his MD and served his internship in Diagnostic Radiology
Residency at UCSF. He was made a diplomat of the American Board of Radiology
in June 1981. He has been involved in Magnetic Resonance Imaging since
its inception 20 years ago and has written over 150 articles, 50 book
chapters, and 17 books, including the number one selling textbook in the
field: Magnetic Resonance Imaging, Stark DD, Bradley WG (eds) 3rd edition,
Mosby, St. Louis, 1999. On June 1, 2002, he assumed the position of Professor
and Chairman of the Department of Radiology at UCSD. He is Chairman of
the Fund Development Committee of the Research and Education Foundation
of the RSNA and Chairman of the Commission on Neuroradiology and MRI for
the Board of Chancellors for the American College of Radiology.
