Cardiac
delivers new diagnostic tools to the Signa LX platform for the evaluation
of cardiac anatomy and function. The Double IR and Triple IR FSE sequences
provide black blood imaging of cardiac anatomy with high quality suppression
of blood and fat. The FastCine sequence provides white blood imaging
throughout the complete cardiac cycle for functional evaluation, and
Tagging adds 1D and 2D saturation pulses for wall motion analysis.
Cardiac does required the advanced gating cable and leads. IDrive
Pro is recommended in conjunction with Cardiac for improved scan place
prescription.

iDrivePro
provides real time interactive scan control tools that enable the
user to quickly assess complex anatomy and determine the optimum scan
plane. Start and end locations can be transferred to protocols in
the RX Manager. IDrive Pro expands the capability of iDrive Basic
with a timer, bookmarks, advanced scan controls, and contrast controls.
IDrive Pro does require iDrive Basic and a ReFlex 20 array processor.

The Emory
Cardiac Toolbox(EC Toolbox) package, developed by Emory University,
offers a combination of leading edge protocols for comprehensive cardiac
analysis. Protocols include CEqual for quantification of sestamibi
and other myocardial perfusion tracers; Emory Gated SPECT for auto-processing
of ejection fraction, volume curves, end diastole / systole, and stroke
volumes; and 3D PerfSPECTive which provides 3D information generated
from CEqual and EGS protocols.

4.0 Volume Rendering
enhances three dimensional visualization of imaged tissue by providing
translucent rendering. In addition to the standard 3D image analysis
tools, Volume Rendering allows the user to interactively define thresholds
for opacity, color application, and brightness.
