MRI 8.3 Applications

SmartPrep2000 provides bolus detection for contrast enhanced exams and automated table stepping for peripheral vascular exams. Bolus detection eliminates the guesswork on contrast injections by automatically detecting contrast arrival and triggering image acquisition. Automated table stepping enables multi-phasic imaging at single or multi-stations. SmartPrep requires a 256 MB BAM and a Reflex 50 array processor is recommended.

SmartPrep2000 Upgradeadds automated table stepping for customers who already have SmartPrep bolus detection. Automated table stepping is used for peripheral vascular exams because it enables multi-phasic imaging at single or multiple stations. (for customers with existing SmartPrep software)

Flouro-Triggered MR Angiography. Never miss a contrast bolus again. Fluoro-Triggered MRA gives the Radiologist or Technologist the ability to image the vascular anatomy of interest in real time and to see the arrival of the contrast bolus and almost instantly start the acquisition of a high resolution MRA exam.

ASSET (Array Spatial Sensitivity Encoding Technique) is an Ultra Fast MR Imaging Technique that uses the unique geometry of Phased Array Coils to spatially encode the image faster.

Probe2001 w/3D CSI. The Probe 3D CSI Software is an addition to the Probe2000 Package that enables 3D Multi-Voxel Proton Spectroscopy. This 3D capability adds Whole Brain coverage to Signa's spectroscopic imaging capabilities.

Probe2001Upgrade w/3D CSI. The Probe 3D CSI Upgrade expands the capabilities of the existing Probe2000 Package to include 3D Multi-Voxel Proton acquisitions.
NM/PET eNTEGRA Applications

Aladdin is an optional software package which allows users to write their own protocols for the eNTEGRA. This package combines intuitive ease of use with flexibility and power of all the eNTEGRA features.

QuantEM is a software application that provides a quantitative renal assessment. The application, developed by Emory University, aids the clinician with the analysis and interpretation of Tc-99m labeled MAG3 renograms. This application's major focus is to provide a series of clinical protocols that can be used in the evaluation of both pediatric and adult renal patients.

CT Applications

SmartHelical uses a special reconstruction algorithm that reduces the noise in helical images and allows up to a 35% reduction in mAs without compromising image quality. (SmartHelical only increases effective helical slice thickness by 10% with 1:1 pitch.) Consequently, SmartHelical will reduce tube heating and extend helical run times. SmartHelical can be used in conjunction with SmartBeam for cumulative effects.

Compatible with the following scanners:
  • HiSpeed CT/i
  • HiSpeed X/i Series

0.8 Second Scan offers the ability to achieve 360 degrees of scan rotation in 0.8 Seconds. This increase in gantry speed creates more flexibility with protocol control for the operator. When speed is important for trauma patients or for the non-sedated child, 0.8 Second Scan makes the difference. 0.8 Second Scan times can also improve the quality of CT Angiography exams. Less contrast can be used or higher injection rates can be used to improve vascular imaging as compared to a 1 second rotation speed.

Compatible with the following scanners:
  • HiSpeed NX/i
  • HiSpeed X/i Series
0.7 Second Scan offers the ability to achieve 360 degrees of scan rotation in 0.7 Seconds. This increase in gantry speed creates more flexibility with protocol control for the operator. When speed is important for trauma patients or for the non-sedated child, 0.7 Second Scan makes the difference. 0.7 Second Scan times can also improve the quality of CT Angiography exams. Less contrast can be used or higher injection rates can be used to improve vascular imaging as compared to a 1 second rotation speed.

Compatible with the following scanner:
  • HiSpeed NX/i Plus only
1 Second Scan offers the ability to achieve 360 degrees of scan rotation in 1 Second. This increase in gantry speed creates more flexibility with protocol control for the operator. When speed is important for trauma patients or for the non-sedated child, 1 Second Scan makes the difference. 1 Second Scan time can also improve the quality of CT Angiography exams. Less contrast can be used or higher injection rates can be used to improve vascular imaging as compared to a 1.5 second rotation speed.

Compatible with the following scanners:
  • HiSpeed CT/e Series
  • HiSpeed X/i Series
Enhanced Cooling 6.3MHUoptimized cooling algorithm reduces occurrence of cooling wait. Cooling wait is one of the issues for all CT. Enhanced cooling provides less cooling and higher throughput. This feature will improve the productivity.

Compatible with the following scanner:
  • HiSpeed NX/i
